First of all, thanks for all your feedback from yesterday's post! Looks like we don't have a choice but HAVE to go to New Zealand now (hubby is snickering in the background).
We have been thinking about getting Bryson a new bed for a while now. The one he's been sleeping on is quite crappy, I think we got it for $29.99 at a PetClub before we even brought Bryson home. It was before we officially became "dog people", if you know what I mean.
Fast forward 2 years, the bed looks like it's seen better days. It's lumpy dumpy, and it has "grown" a new fur cover (interesting the same color as Bryson, hmm...) that could not be washed away no matter how hard you try, but for some curious reason, will promptly shed its fur all over the backseat if we take it on a roadtrip with us.
We've been eyeing this posh dog bed, the Big Shrimpy Nest, for a while now. The polyester suede finish feels oh-so-luxurious, it looks more comfy than our own bed. Just look at this model doggie (I think this model is Big Shrimpy himeself!):
The SmartFill is supposed to be a particularly environmentally friendly recycled material, and the whole thing is washable.
The only problem is the price tag. Bryson will have to be a VERY good boy to earn that for himself this Christmas. Or he can just look at me with those sad puppy eyes that says "I'm gonna get doggie sciatica if I have to sleep in that lumpy bed for another day..." *Hee hee, those gullible easily-manipulated humans*
In the meantime, he can sleep in this self-heating human flesh bed.
By the way, he used to HATE being held upside down like this. We somehow persuaded him it's a good idea. And now he'd sometimes fall asleep like this while we're watching Amazing Race (and we get these crazy charlie horse in our legs coz we don't want to wake him up).
Anyone who's invested in one of these posh dog beds, tell us if it's worth it! (Especially now that New Zealand is on the horizon, we gotta watch our soon-to-be-very-empty wallets).
