In less than 40 hours, we'll be on our way to our vacation! Bon voyage, to ourselves!!
Everytime I think about the vacation- which happens just about every other minute now- I get this tingling sensation from head to toe. Maybe it's from an overwhelming sense of excitement. Or, more likely it's from the sheer exhaustion due to all the extra hours of work I'm putting in so I can actually LEAVE for the vacation... At this point I just wish that I can just close my eyes, open them, and find myself sitting on the London Eye, or floating on River Seine, or just hanging out at a French bistro doing absolutely nothing... Ahhhhh........
But wait... I opened my eyes, and all I see is Bryson, sleeping right by my feet under the desk, not a worry in the world... How could we ever leave him behind?? That's probably one of the hardest part with this vacation, getting over that guilty feeling (but I'm sure there's nothing a glass of French champagne couldn't cure). Thankfully, Uncle Brian and Auntie Rita has graciously offered to host Bryson for the next 2 weeks, which helps us feel so much better, knowing that the worst thing that could ever happen is probably something like him and Picasso not rhyming at their weekly rapping session. We can live with that.
Seriously, I have to continue to remind myself that a vacation is meant to be fun, and relaxing, and enjoyable. So, here's part of the "fun" in getting ready for the trip:
Packing the bags (Bryson: where do you think you're going with these?!)
Getting colorful monopoly money
Gathering the travel "essentials" (this is just a very small sample of what we'll eventually pack, yes, I've been called a walking pharmacy, and yes, that AirBorne is super-sized)
Next time you hear from us it'll be from a place very, very far away! Au revoir!
