Where on earth is Pflugerville, TX?
According to wikipedia, it's a city with a population of 27,531 about 14 miles NE of Austin originally settled by one German national Henry Pfluger in 1849. To us, it's where Jacques' family now calls home.
It's also where we spent a most wonderful spring weekend visiting our family for the first time since they moved away from the Bay Area last November. Needless to say, we were so excited to see our niece and nephew, Sara and Tyler, who have both seemed to have grown like the magic beanstalk since we last saw them.
Sara: Com'on, Tyler, say cheese! Tyler: you're squashing me
Sara the diva: Hey, you don't have permission to photograph me! Tyler: here, shoot my belly
Pflugerville, as it turned out, is the neatest little suburban city, complete with mega-size custom homes with stately stone facades, a most impressive public school system (the pre-school looks like a mini college), its own beautiful reservoir (Lake Pflugerville), and, oh, zebras. Yep, real zebras, like Marty in Madagascar, in the middle of someone's backyard:
"Na..nayyy.... Keep Austin weird!"
Apart from zebra-watching, we had tons of fun in the short 3 days, visiting 6th St in downtown Austin (from inside our ride since it was raining), having lunch atop Lake Travis, watch Sara's first ballet recital (in the comfort of our home), and of course, visit the local outlet mall (a fantastic one, btw).
Here are some pix from our awesome weekend:

Glad a ride has been arranged, my princess feet need a break

You're not going to drop me, are you?
The best attempt of a family portrait
Can't wait till Bryson gets a chance to meet with the family next time we get together!
