On Bryson's to-do list, the only thing that comes close to eating and sleeping in priority is hanging out with his bud Picasso.
That's why even though he's a bit under the weather (threw up couple times yesterday morning), as soon as Picasso called and suggest they hang out at the Berkeley Marina, Bryson goes "Yo, be right there" without hesitation. And in 5 seconds flat, he's downstairs ready to have a roaring good time with Picasso, all sickness forgotten.
And it's like seeing life-long brothers re-unite. Even though they haven't seen each others for weeks, they couldn't keep their paws and jaws off of each others before we even got to the park. And what we witnessed next confirmed that they must share something in their doggie genes: when Picasso pee at one spot, Bryson would quickly dash all the way over to pee at the exact same spot; and when Bryson found the perfectly stinky spot on the grass to roll on, Picasso would barrel down on the same spot, nudging Bryson so he can rub on the same spot. And then when they get tired from playing bully with each others, they would sit and lean against each others and pant in sync with the same big happy smiles on their faces.
They just have this kinship that goes beyond their similarity in appearance that defies explanation. It's quite a sight to take in. We're happy that karma has finally brought them back together. (Om...)
Funny thing was as we strolled through the park, we ran into yet another neighbor from the same building. That's them in the picture below, with Bryson on the left, Picasso on the right, Bean (our neighbor) in the foreground, and another corgi-mix in the back, apparently all conferring on some important canine issue:
"First on agenda, to create the Corgi Inter-city Exchange Program or a similar buddy system for the goodness for all dogkind..."
And being Bryson's parents, it's almost a crime to not let these 2 get together more frequently, seeing how well they gel. So Picasso's parents and us are going to try out the "Corgi Inter-city Exchange Program" Bryson and friends proposed, where our little ones get to board with each other's family occasionally (e.g. when one's parents are out of town).
The first official Corgi Exchange visit will happen this weekend with Bryson boarding with Picasso and his parents when I'm traveling to NY. I can tell Bryson couldn't wait- he already secretly packed his bags, he even packed an extra bone to share with Picasso (now that's brotherly love).
